The Westminster School, Dubai, is an innovative learning platform with out-of-the-box thinkers of innovative ideas ready to spark a change. This year TWS will take a deep dive into the world of the inspirational thoughts and different viewpoints that change our perspective about everything. This program is designed in the spirit of spreading “ideas worth sharing” and to give people the platform to inspire and gain the extraordinary TED-like experience on a global stage at a locally-organized event.
Encouraged with the success of our TEDxTWSDubaiLive event held on 18 February 2016 and the Youth@TWSDubai on November 21, 2016, we have decided to go for TEDxWoemn not live to present our brilliant speakers and their ideas capable of creating a momentous impact on the world. Our target is to motivate our communities by bringing forward the best of the best ideas that will stir a transformational change within them. We believe that strength lies in celebrating differences and constructing the people. This way not only will we spread awareness on a large scale but shape a better future for all of us.
The step towards innovation only is taken by the bold. It is all about bringing in new ideas and becoming a part of a change that requires relentless explorations, frequently motivating oneself and rising up to meet even the toughest of challenges. So, we extend our invitation to everybody who wishes to challenge the conventional mindset and truly help in shaping the tomorrow.

TEDx is a global community that hosts TED-style events anywhere and everywhere to amplify ideas and propel them onto an international stage. It is held to celebrate TED’s slogan: ideas worth sharing. It is a local gathering where live TED-like talks and videos from other TED Conferences are shared with the audience. TEDx events are entirely arranged and organized independently, the foundation being community-by-community.
TED
TED is a nonprofit global media organization dedicated to spreading ideas, usually as short, inspirational talks. It started out in 1984 in the form of a conference that brought together the elements of Technology, Entertainment and Design, and now is inclusive of almost all topics. The yearly TED Conference is held in Vancouver, British Columbia each spring. Some of the remarkable initiative took by this organization includes Ted.com which is a clearinghouse of knowledge coming straight from the most innovative thinkers, Open Translation Project, that puts forward subtitles, interactive transcripts and translations from volunteers around the globe, Ted-Ed, the educational platform and the Ted-Prize where remarkable ideas from exceptional leaders are made into reality. TEDX supports local and self-organized TED-style events and the TED Fellows Program gives transformational encouragement to a worldwide community of innovators to help create a positive impact.
